Samsung BadaAdd to My Brief

Guy MacArthur | 23/12/2009

Samsung Bada ui images have been floating around the webs as of late (see Engadget).  They reflect an attractive and well thought out design.  It’s just a shame that Samsung didn’t think it up.  They’ve seem to have stolen taken inspiration from Apple, Google and Nokia on this one.

Now the interesting thing is this could actually be good.  It looks fine, and if they can make it work well and package it on dumb phones (non-smart phones) they may actually have a winner.  Considering the average Aussie pays somewhere around a $1000 for an iPhone outright, given an affordable and functional competitor they may just win a few people over.

To learn more about Bada, go to their website at http://www.bada.com/.  As an added bonus, you developers can get your nerd on at http://developer.bada.com/apis/index.do.  It’s full of SDK download goodness.
