Online Traffic in Australia Summary - Q1 2010Add to My Brief

Robert Beerworth | 15/04/2010

Mumbrella have a good article this morning breaking down Australia’s online traffic for the first quarter of 2010.

Plenty of impressive numbers including approximate 8.5m daily unique browsers consuming around 5 billion pages per month. There is a great breakdown of the top sites in each segment, with a few surprises in some categories including an independent blog making the top 10 for TV.

What is interesting is a calculation done by the team at Mumbrella suggesting that the average CPM across all websites (based on estimated total monthly internet advertising revenue, impressions per month and an average of 3 ads per page) is $10.00. This is rightly pointed out as being not too bad when we’re surrounded by stories hailing the death of the CPM.
