In this day and age it’s easy to forget that life used to be much more private than it is now. Social interaction has changed significantly in the last decade, with more and more activity conducted online.

Already there is an enormous amount of content about our lives that we willingly share online via facebook, twitter, blogging services and various other applications. In addition to such obvious examples, there are less obvious details like the search history and other forms of data and information we leave in our wake as we surf the net. 

Most of us take a pretty cavalier attitude to this lack of privacy. As I noted above, it’s easy to forget that life used to be more private. Sometimes it’s good to get a little perspective and so, as a small diversion in the day, I offer you this amusing and satirical look at web privacy from The Onion – Google Responds to Privacy Concerns with Unsettlingly Specific Apology.
