Firefox Top 5 Addons

Firefox Development Toolbar – Where do I begin to state the features and functionality of this toolset. Packed with goodies such as validation, view and display. With every single click the backbone of any web page is revealed to our developers. Extremely handy tool in the everyday design and development of websites. Developers and non developers live by this toolbar.

Bug Me Not – With the many username and passwords we have registered, we never manage to remember by the time we visit the site again. This plugin solves most of these problems. Bug me not provides public usernames and passwords to various websites that allow you to login without entering your own personal details. Next time you have to sign in with username and password just right click your mouse and ‘login with BugMeNot’.

Internet Exploerer (IE) Tab – Ever seen a website that says this page must be viewed within an IE browser, well your problem has been answered. Firefox IE tab allows you to quickly switch from Firefox browser to an IE brower within Firefox with just one simple click of a button. We love this feature in the office for two reasons when we come across a website that is not cross browser compliant and also when we are developing sites ourselves it allows us to quickly check if our designs are compliant to various browsers.

Screen Grab – allows developers to grab a screenshot of the entire page as an image, automatically scrolls around the complete page and joins together the shots to form one image of the page. What’s fantastic about this tool is the ability to grab the screenshots of our designs and published them as part of our portfolio offline.

HTML Validator – The plugin easily validates the HTML code within the page that’s currently being viewed. Very effective reporting tool to validate the HTML code of pages as you develop or just to monitor the errors that exist in the pages being view. Wiliam utilize the tool to develop websites that are absolutely focused on being xHTML and cross browser compliant.
