Sensis Australia folds Just Listed newspaper

Sensis, a directories division of Telstra, has abandoned its Just Listed newspaper after only 12 months. Sensis general manager, Thomas Arthur, said the decision was prompted by “skyrocketing” demands for property ads online.

Fairfax group executive Alan Revell stated that, “We couldn’t really see readers or advertisers crying out for another product.” Something Sensis should have taken into consideration.

The spin-offs of Domain (the property section of Fairfax’s The Sydney Morning Herald) had a much bigger impact and sucked some of the oxygen out of the market for Sensis.
