Outlook 12 adopts RSS Technology

For most people who use personal computers, RSS feeds continue to remain the unknown. However Microsoft’s Michael Affronti program manager on the Microsoft Outlook 12 development team is out to change this in the upcoming release of Outlook.

Michael discusses RSS and how interacting with RSS feeds will be extremely similar to managing your mail items now. The integration of RSS into Outlook 12 will have a dramatic effect on RSS use worldwide as Microsoft Outlook is probably the most used application in the world after Internet Explorer.

Michael has also provided a series of Outlook 12 RSS screenshots which I must say look very similar to Newsgator (which is a Outlook plugin).

Many are very excited about this including Scoble who said “It’ll bring millions of new businesspeople into the RSS world”
