Google Earth Browser Plug-in ReleasedAdd to My Brief

Guy MacArthur | 7/05/2010

Google recently released a browser plug-in for their Google Earth application.  With it you can view the Earth, in its entire 3D splendor, via your web browser.  Some found this plug-in release unexpected, however, it seems clear that Google is readying all of its cool little toys for their upcoming release of Chrome OS, which resembles the Chrome web browser.

Check out the plug-in page for more details, specifically which browsers are supported.  Notice there’s no IE6, let it rest in peace.  Also, depending on your machine specs you may have a less than zippy experience when using IE7’s and IE8’s sluggish JavaScript engine, codename: Sloth.
