Wild Wild Web

Follow the yelow brick road it seems.

CNN is running an interested article on where - or what - the Internet will be in ten years.

As part of the article, it cites an interview with Vinton Cerf (widely regarded as one of the "fathers" of the Internet) who is of the firm view that only 10% of applications on the Internet have been developed. Exciting if it's true.

The article is well written, touching on the past 10 years and predicting all sorts of exciting developments from online voting (inevitable), Internet enabled coffee pots and self-healing computers, to the empowerment on the mobile phone as a sort of remote control for all Internet applications.
