Apple pushes HTML 5Add to My Brief

Vince Scordino | 4/06/2010

After the recent launch of Apple’s iPad and the flaming they continually get for their lack of Adobe Flash support in their products, Apple has come back harder and stronger with a specially made page showcasing HTML5, CSS3 and it’s capabilities.

The page showcases some of the exciting things you can do only with HTML5 like Video, Typography, Gallery, Transitions, Audio, 360, and VR.

Apple’s use of the term “web standards” in their new page is another kick in the gut for Adobe - to push HTML5 video and reiterate how Adobe’s Flash isn’t a “web standard”.

Icing on your cake? You will notice that Apple’s new showcase of HTML5 pops up a message that reads “This demo was designed with the latest web standards supported by Safari”. Yes, you need Safari to view the funky new HTML5 demo’s.. Nice marketing there Apple, love your work.
