2005 a turning point in online advertising

2005 marked a turning point in online advertising, according to Google Advertising Sales Vice President, Tim Armstrong.

From an article in ZDNet (Ziff Davis), the experimenting and testing phase begun in the 1990s has ended. Corporate ad buyers are investing now.

According to a Jupiter Research study cited in the article, the US online advertising market is expected to grow 28% over last year to $11.9 billion in 2005, $13.6 billion in 2006 and an impressive $15.1 billion in 2007. One can safely assume those quotes to be in US dollars.
