The food that makes the programmer

Being a developer it is important to ensure the delicate balance of caffeine and carbohydrates is in alignment. The morning should start with at least 2 cups of coffee and some kind of fatty/greasy/sugary delectable to get you through the code warm up. Fortunately North Sydney has thousands of coffee spots and pastry/bacon egg roll facilities to choose from. Of note is the Greenwood Plazas Muffin Break for chocolate chip fix, Losurdo’s Fresh Express for bacon egg rolls and if your inclined the fresh food market for something ‘healthy’. Being a developer being healthy consists of choosing either single or double bacon on your roll and if the cheese should be melted or not.

Once lunch time comes you have plenty of options. Berry Square has the usual food court options as does Greenwood Plaza. There is also a great Laksa to be had on Miller street. The pubs are good when a developer needs sustenance for the afternoon, and let’s not forget much needed beer for fuel. The Rag and Famish hotel has good $10 options and pints of brew. There is Station Hotel which does a great $15 steak and also does pints of brew. Then there is the Greenwood Hotel that has pizza with many options for toppings but no pints of beer.

Overall there is plenty of food to be had in North Sydney to help a developers mind crunch that code and burn the carbs off through efficient development. If you’re looking for a good feed and a good beer for a healthy minds then North Sydney probably has it for you.
