Call forwarding and ringtones added to new Skype Beta

Less than a week after Skype was purchased by ebay, the VOIP company has released its latest beta version of the popular phone software.

The new Skype Beta includes some interesting features;

Improved call quality
Call forwarding to mobiles, landlines and other Skype Names.
Make calls instantly from Outlook email or Internet Explorer
Personalise your Skype add sounds, ringtones and pictures

As Skype now looks towards revenue growth, these new features come with a price tag with ringtones and and pictures costing €1 each. Each forwarded call to a standard phone number is charged at Skypeout rates, however call forwarding to another skype account is free.
