Landing pages increase your PPC conversion rates

The Wiliam mantra when it comes to sales oriented design is; be aggressive and tell the consumer why they MUST buy your product. If they are not in the market for what you are offering, then this isn’t the website for you.

This may sound cocky, but aggressive conversion oriented landing page design is what Australia has been missing for years. The US and UK use it to great advantage, yet Australian websites are still overly polite and not telling the user what you want them to do.

If you want them to buy your ebook, tell them. It will make a substantial difference to your landing page conversion rates.

Need proof? Check out this article on getting what you want.

Don't run a PPC campaign and send them to your ordinary website, send them to a page that is aggressive and conveys:

  • A point of difference with your product
  • Clear benefits of your business and why they should buy from you
  • Proof of success; this means testimonials and statements about confidence
  • Clear call to actions
  • Re-assurance of security. Show them your SSL, show them you are safe.

By creating a single landing page that conveys all of the above information, you are effectively telling the user there is no reason they shouldn't be pulling their credit cards out of their wallet and making a purchase.

You should make them feel that there are no more questions about the product & your service. Instead the only decision is on them - to buy or not to buy (Evil hint: The right design can also influence my last statement).

Now go get some landing pages made and stop sending expensive PPC traffic through to your homepage.
