Project Estimator (Web design and Development, Project Estimation)
Wiliam, one of Sydney’s premier first-tier web design and development companies, has recently experienced incredible growth and is now looking for a Project Estimator.

Role & Responsibilities
The candidate will operate as an interface between our sales team and production team. They will be responsible for estimating and scoping projects at the beginning of the project life-cycle. Specifically, they will:
 
• Work with sales staff to understand client’s brief (e.g. attend sales meetings or discuss brief via account/sales manager)
• Work with production staff to understand scope of work required (e.g. break client’s brief into tasks and determine work hours for each)
•  Develop an accurate and timely estimation for the sales team to present to client
• Conduct further scoping in order to produce specifications that will ensure optimal project handover to production team
(This is only expected for standard/customised projects. Highly unique projects will be scoped by an information architect.)
• Most importantly, develop and continually evolve standardised estimation and specification templates
 
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
 
• Strong understanding of the web development lifecycle (including design, development and ideally, web marketing)
• Basic understanding of current technologies (including XML, CSS, Ajax, ASP, .NET and MSSQL)
• 2 years + experience in a related web development role (e.g. experience in project management and/or project scoping is highly regarded)
•Experience in working with Content Management Systems / Email Management Systems
• Ability to interface with clients directly when required
