The City of Sydney launched an initiative called Sustainable Sydney 2030 which is a study into sustainable energy for Sydney in the future. Sustainable Sydney 2030 includes a series of project ideas - large visionary projects to transform Sydney and to meet community needs.

These are preliminary ideas developed by the Sustainable Sydney 2030 team which we want to test with the wider Sydney community before progressing to more detailed work, including plans and costs.

Client Objective:
The City of Sydney Sustainable Sydney 2030 project required Flash presentations for their website as well as presentations for an exhibition at Customs House in Circular Quay. As the City of Sydney council had their own internal web development team, all the Flash development was outsourced to Wiliam Web Design.

Wiliam’s Solution:
Given the wide and diverse audience in the City of Sydney council the Flash presentations needed to appeal to a variety of people both young and old from a variety of backgrounds. The presentation consisted of a combination of artist impressions in 2030, future maps of Sydney and many lifestyle images all animated in Flash.

Successful Outcome:
When the Sustainable Sydney 2030 website launched it received a great deal of media attention with a story on the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald and other media outlets.
