Camera House is Australia’s biggest retailer of cameras and accessories. They approached Wiliam to design and build them an E-commerce website. Due to the large scale of the site Wiliam focused on prototyping and user testing before starting the visual design to ensure a seamless user journey through countless products with a simple experience.

Wiliam Solution

With so many camera products and accessories to browse through in each category, Wiliam thoroughly researched ways to make the browsing process simpler to provide a seamless user journey. Not only were deals implemented to attract the user but also the concept of ‘Staff Picks’ and a ‘Better Picture Guarantee’.

Wiliam included the function for the user to decide if they want the product delivered or collected at a local store. A lot of user testing was carried out at different stages of the project to ensure that everything stayed straight forward and simple.

Reviews and product comparisons were also included to give the users a chance to compare what products they are interested in and give their own opinions. User generated content is important to Wiliam as it provides trust between the user and the company.

Through extensive user testing Wiliam has ensured that the user journey is simple and easy for the user to navigate considering the large amount of categories.
